OpusCut supports two sign-in methods: Email + Password and Google OAuth.

1. Visit the sign-in page. First-time visitors will see the "Sign Up" tab.
2. Enter your Email + Password (min. 6 characters). A verification email will be sent to your inbox.
3. Click the "Verify Email" button in the email. The link is valid for 24 hours; if expired, sign up again to trigger a new verification email.
4. After verification you'll be signed in automatically with 50 free credits to start.

Didn't receive the verification email? Check your spam folder, or email us for manual activation.

Password changes only apply to Email + Password accounts. (Google sign-in users manage their password in Google Account settings.)

1. Sign in and go to Account.
2. Scroll down to the "Change Password" section.
3. Enter your new password (min. 6 characters) and confirm. Takes effect immediately — use the new password next time you sign in.

Forgot your password? Click "Forgot Password" on the sign-in page. A reset link will be sent to your registered email (link valid for 1 hour).

The system sends you emails in the following situations:

• Job complete — When AI highlight clips or AI captions finish generating.
• Job failed — If an error occurs, with details (credits are usually auto-refunded).
• Subscription / Renewal — Receipt when your card is charged successfully.
• Auto top-up triggered — When auto top-up charges your card after balance falls below threshold.
• 4K render complete — When a longer 4K render finishes.

Plans & Credits

• Free: 50 trial credits (one-time).
• Starter (NT$ 299/mo): 150 credits/month + SRT subtitle download + re-framed clip download.
• Pro (NT$ 899/mo): 600 credits/month + 4K download.
• Studio (NT$ 2,699/mo): 2,500 credits/month + AI audio auto-sync (caption realign).

Payment Method

All payments are processed by Stripe (credit card / Apple Pay / Google Pay). We never see your card details. Monthly fees are charged immediately on upgrade and renew on a 30-day cycle.

Upgrade / Downgrade / Cancel

• Upgrade: Takes effect immediately; credits added right away.
• Downgrade: Takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Cancel: Credits are retained until period end; no further charges.

Manage subscription / change card / download invoices in the Dashboard→ click "Manage / Upgrade / Cancel" to open the Stripe Customer Portal.

Credit Accumulation

Monthly credits stack on your balance, capped at 3 months of credits. After cancellation existing credits are yours permanently until used up.

Refunds

Monthly fees are non-refundable once charged. If a job fails due to a system error, credits are automatically refunded (check Credit History for details). For other exceptional cases, please contact support.

Q: What video sources are supported?

Currently supports YouTube video links and local file uploads (MP4 / MOV / MKV, up to ~10 GB). Other platforms (TikTok / Instagram) planned.

Q: What languages are supported?

Captions use the Whisper large-v3 model, primarily supportingTraditional Chinese (incl. Taiwanese Hokkien), English, and Japanese. You can manually specify the audio language or use "Auto Detect". Bilingual CN/EN captions are a paid feature.

Q: How many credits does a video use?

Roughly 1–3 credits per minute, depending on job type (AI Highlights / Captions) and source (YouTube / upload). The Studiopage shows an estimated cost before you submit.

Q: What if the clip quality isn't as expected?

AI clip quality depends on content, audio clarity, and transcription accuracy. Tips:

• Use clear vocals with minimal background music.
• Select the correct "Genre" (Variety / Podcast / Tutorial, etc.) — it affects AI detection logic.
• After clipping, use "Edit Clip" to manually fine-tune the timeline, caption text, and style.

Q: Can I download 4K?

Yes — Pro and Studio plans support 4K downloads (3840px). On the preview page or edit page, click "Download 4K". Rendering takes an extra 30s–2min; you'll get an email notification and a new tab opens to download.

Q: Can I download SRT subtitle files?

Yes — Starter and above supports SRT download. In the preview or edit page caption panel, click "Download SRT". Bilingual captions export in standard format (CN on top, EN below, sharing the same time block) — directly importable into Premiere / Final Cut / CapCut.

Q: What is the "Audio Realign" button?

Studio plan exclusive. After heavy caption edits, the KTV karaoke word-by-word effect may drift from the audio. Clicking this re-runs Whisper alignment to sync captions back to the actual voice. Takes 30s–2min.

Q: What if my video processing fails?

Credits are automatically refunded and you'll receive a notification email. Common causes: expired YouTube link, video too long (>1 hour), server maintenance. Please retry; if failures persist, contact support and include the job ID.
