When you use OpusCut, we may collect:

• Account data: Email address, name, and profile photo URL provided via Google OAuth.
• Usage data: Video URLs (YouTube, Google Drive) or video files you submit.
• Job records: AI processing status, progress, results (highlight timestamps, caption text, scores).
• Credit transaction records: Credit acquisitions and usage — no payment card or bank account data.
• Device and browser info: IP address, browser type, operating system — for security and service quality monitoring (PostHog analytics).
• Cookies: Session cookies to maintain your login state (not used for cross-site ad tracking).

We collect data to:

• Provide the AI video editing service: send your video to GPU compute (Modal.com, US servers) for Whisper transcription and highlight detection.
• Store processing results: temporarily store highlight clips and caption files in Cloudflare R2 (nearest edge node).
• Manage accounts and credits: via Supabase for account data, credit balances, and job records.
• Improve service quality: anonymized usage analytics via PostHog.
• Security and abuse prevention: detect abnormal access and policy violations.
• Customer support: respond to service inquiries via your provided email (not for marketing unless you opt in).

Video URLs or files you submit are sent to Modal GPU servers (located in the US) for AI processing. After processing, the original video is not permanently stored by us.

Generated highlight clips (MP4) and caption files (ASS) are stored in Cloudflare R2 with time-limited presigned URLs for download. Default retention is 7 days, after which files are automatically deleted.

YouTube links: we obtain YouTube video audio via the Apify scraping service, within the scope permitted by YouTube's Terms of Service. Full original video is not stored.

• Request deletion: delete your account and related data (typically within 30 business days).

We use functional cookies to maintain your login session (Supabase Session Cookie). We do not use third-party advertising tracking cookies.

PostHog analytics uses first-party cookies for anonymous usage tracking. You can opt out via your browser settings or account settings.

• All API communications use HTTPS (TLS 1.2+) encryption.
• Supabase database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) — each user can only access their own data.
• R2 video storage is private and accessible only via time-limited presigned URLs.
• Modal worker nodes do not retain any video data after job completion.

This Service is not directed at children under 13. If we discover we have inadvertently collected a child's data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe your child's data may have been collected, please contact us.

This policy may be updated due to feature changes, regulatory updates, or other reasons. Material changes will be announced on this page and emailed to signed-in account holders. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
